Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Supporting children, teens, and adults in finding balance, connection, and self-leadership.

At Knox Therapy Center in Knoxville, TN, we specialize in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy provided by trained and experienced therapists. IFS is a compassionate, evidence-based model of therapy that helps clients explore the different “parts” of themselves—such as the inner critic, protector, or wounded child—in order to heal from within.

IFS & Parts Work Therapy

IFS is different from many traditional talk therapies because it views each person as having a core Self that is inherently whole, wise, and capable of healing. When parts of us carry heavy burdens from stress, trauma, or life experiences, they can create inner conflict, emotional pain, or unhelpful patterns of behavior. Through IFS, clients learn to understand and connect with these parts, releasing burdens and restoring balance. This process allows individuals to experience greater clarity, calm, and confidence in their daily lives.
