Accepting New Clients

Lauren Farmer

Hi, I’m Lauren.

I've always been curious about people - their stories, what shapes them, and how they navigate life's challenges. Although my professional background includes work in business, education, and nonprofit settings, I found myself continually drawn to conversations about healing, growth, and resilience. That interest, along with my own life experiences, ultimately led me to pursue counseling.

I particularly enjoy working with adults and adolescents who are struggling with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, or major life transitions. I believe people have an incredible capacity for healing when they feel safe, supported, and truly understood. My goal is to create a space where clients can show up as they are, explore their experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.

My approach is grounded in person-centered and existential principles and is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices. I enjoy helping clients recognize patterns that may no longer be serving them, connect with their strengths, and move toward the life they want to live.

Seeking counseling is a courageous step, and I am grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside clients as they do the challenging and meaningful work of healing and growth.
