Joe is a licensed clinical therapist practicing in Knoxville, TN.  After receiving his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Carson-Newman University, Joe returned to his alma mater to obtain his Master’s of Science in Counseling. His experiences include providing therapy in community mental health, intensive in-home services, and college counseling settings.

Joe approaches therapy with the goal of meeting the client where they are to promote healing and growth. He specializes in utilizing a person-centered approach integrating multiple therapeutic methods to meet the client’s overall needs, goals, and strengths including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Joe’s passion lies working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, child and adolescence related issues, issues specific to men, life adjustment, career issues, and couples counseling. He also enjoys working with individuals who identify in the LGBTQ population and young adults who are experiencing difficulty transitioning to college or other life adjustments.
